The Gators were on probation and couldn’t win the SEC but had national title hopes. Georgia was 6-1-1 coming into the game. “Mike Shula leads the Crimson Tide into Sanford Stadium to take on Wayne Johnson and the Georgia Bulldogs. Herschel Walker’s jersey was retired at halftime with ceremonies being led by the legendary Dan McGill. Bama won this one in a thriller at the end 20-16 but not before Georgia made an incedible comeback to take the lead with less than a minute left. As a Georgia fan, this one was a huge heartbreaker but a great SEC game, as usual. Enjoy! I do not own the rights to this video and do not profit from it in any way.”
